Charging case

Depending on the version, the DEQSTER charging cases are equipped with an automatic switch-off function.

The automatic mode is set for around 5 hours and is designed to save energy costs. As a rule, your end devices are fully charged again within this period and you can continue working comfortably. After the automatic switch-off, press the ON/OFF switch and wait a short moment. The case can then be supplied with power again.

This means you don't need any additional timers on the sockets.

Although the main focus is on iPads, the cases are also suitable for other tablet brands, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. A wide variety of laptop models can also be charged and safely stowed away using the internal Schuko socket strips. This underlines the versatility and adaptability of the products.

DEQSTER cases integrate various safety features such as overvoltage protection, a built-in timer for the main power supply and an intelligent ventilation system to prevent overheating. Ergonomic handles, the patented lock and the ability to attach padlocks ensure safe transportation and handling

The cases are designed to hold not only tablets, but also all the necessary accessories such as charging cables, protective sleeves, MacBooks and more. This makes it easier for teachers to organize and provide teaching materials.

The cases are designed for easy transportation from room to room or between buildings. Equipped with telescopic handles and sturdy castors, they offer high mobility and flexibility in the education sector.

Protective covers

Most protective covers are usually made of different materials, depending on the brand and model. Commonly used materials for protective covers are:

  • Polycarbonate (PC): This material is known for its hardness and impact resistance. Protective covers made of polycarbonate are durable and offer good protection against knocks and scratches.
  • Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU): TPU is a flexible and shock-absorbing material. Protective covers made of TPU are flexible and easy to attach. They also offer good protection and are particularly effective at absorbing shocks.
  • Silicone: Silicone protective covers are soft and flexible. They offer solid protection and are comfortable to grip. Silicone is particularly effective at absorbing shocks.
  • Leather: Leather protective covers are durable and give your device an elegant look. They offer protection against scratches and often have additional compartments for cards or money.
  • Fiber and fabrics: Some protective covers are made of special fibers or fabrics that give the device protection and an individual style. These are generally less impact-resistant than other materials.
  • Metal: Metal protective cases are often made of aluminum or stainless steel and offer robust protection against bumps and scratches. However, they tend to be heavier and less flexible.

The longevity of a protective cover depends on various factors, including the material, the quality of workmanship and usage. As a rule, high-quality protective covers made of durable materials should offer your device effective protection over a longer period of time. It is advisable to choose protective covers from trusted manufacturers as they often carry out quality checks and may offer guarantees to ensure longevity. Note that the durability of a protective cover can be affected by improper use or damage.

Caring for your protective cover is easy. Clean it regularly with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Avoid contact with sharp objects and liquids to prevent scratches or damage.

No, protective cases are designed in such a way that they do not impair the functionality of your iPad in any way. They offer precise cut-outs for ports, buttons and cameras so that you can use your device without any problems.

The installation of protective covers is usually simple and most protective covers are supplied with instructions. The exact installation method may vary depending on the type of protective cover. Follow the instructions provided to ensure that your device is always optimally protected and the protective cover is properly attached.

Slim and lightweight protective covers are generally widely available from many suppliers. Here are some places where you can look for such protective covers:

  • Online stores: You'll find the widest selection of protective cases at online stores like Amazon, eBay, and other electronics or accessories retailers. You can use the product ratings and customer reviews to find the best option for your device.
  • Electronics stores: If you want to check out the protective cover in person, visit electronics stores that sell accessories for mobile devices. Here you can touch and try out the protective covers before you buy them.
  • Specialist stores: There are also specialist stores that specialize in cell phone and tablet accessories. You will often find a wide selection of protective covers there and the staff can help you make your choice.
  • Manufacturer websites: Many cell phone or tablet manufacturers also offer accessories and protective cases on their own websites. This is a good option if you are looking for a protective cover that has been specially developed for your device.
  • Brand stores: Some well-known brands such as Apple or Samsung have their own brand stores where you can find their official protective cases. These protective covers are often tailored to the devices of the respective brand.
  • Social media and online marketplaces: Platforms like Etsy or Facebook marketplaces can offer a variety of custom slipcovers from independent sellers. Here you can find unique and handmade options.

Make sure you know the exact dimensions of your device before looking for a protective cover to ensure it fits perfectly. You can also search for terms such as 'slim', 'lightweight', 'minimalist' or 'thin protective case' to look for specific options.

Keyboard protective covers

Keyboard cases for tablets are made from a variety of materials, with each material having specific properties and advantages.

  1. Plastic: Lightweight plastics such as polycarbonate or ABS are often used. These offer a cost-effective option and are still robust and protective.
  2. PU leather (polyurethane): This material is often used for the outer cover of tablet keyboard cases. It simulates the look and feel of real leather, but is easier to care for and more resistant to moisture.
  3. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane): TPU is used for its flexibility and impact resistance. It offers additional protection against bumps and drops, which is particularly important to protect the tablet from damage.
  4. Aluminum: Some high-quality keyboard cases use aluminum, which is known for its durability and elegance. Aluminum cases often offer excellent heat dissipation and shock-resistant properties.
  5. Rubber: Rubber is used for internal protection and shock absorption. This material helps to absorb shocks and protects the tablet from accidental impacts.
  6. Textiles: Some cases also incorporate textile materials such as nylon or fabric to add a touch of style and comfort. These can also help to prevent scratches.

. It is important to note that the combination of different materials in a case helps to achieve an optimal balance between protection, functionality and design.

The way you charge the keyboard in your tablet keyboard case depends heavily on the technical specifications of the specific model. Here are two common methods:

  1. USB port: Many tablet keyboard cases have an integrated battery that is charged via a USB port. You can use an included USB cable to connect the case directly to a power source such as a computer, power bank or USB power adapter. Make sure to connect the cable correctly and follow the charging indicator on the case to monitor the charging status.
  2. Wireless charging via Bluetooth: In some cases, the keyboard is connected to the tablet wirelessly via Bluetooth and draws its power either directly from the tablet or from an internal battery in the keyboard case. In this case, it is important to ensure that the Bluetooth connection between the keyboard and the tablet is established and remains active to ensure proper function and charging capability.

The DEQSTER keyboard cases are charged via a USB-C port and also have the fast charging function, which enables particularly fast charging.

Cleaning your keyboard case properly not only helps to maintain the material, but also to extend its service life. Here are the detailed steps:

  1. Disconnect the power supply: Switch off all devices and disconnect the keyboard case from the power source if it is a wired model.
  2. Tap off dust and crumbs: Carefully turn the keyboard case over and lightly tap the back to remove loose particles such as dust or crumbs. You can also use compressed air to clean hard-to-reach areas.
  3. Removing detachable keys: If your keyboard case has detachable keys, remove them to clean between the keys. Pay attention to the order and position of the keys so that you can reattach them correctly later.
  4. Prepare the cleaning solution: Mix a mild cleaning solution of warm water and a gentle detergent suitable for electronic devices. Avoid aggressive chemicals that could damage the material.
  5. Cleaning the keys and surface: Dip a soft microfiber cloth into the cleaning solution, then wring it out well and gently wipe over the keys and surfaces of the keyboard case. Make sure that no moisture gets into the keyboard.
  6. Cleaning the cracks and crevices: Use a soft brush, e.g. a brush with fine bristles, to remove dirt and dust from the crevices between the buttons. Make sure the brush is clean and dry.
  7. Allow to dry: Allow the keyboard case to dry thoroughly before using it again. Make sure that no moisture gets into the keyboard mechanism to avoid possible damage.
  8. Disinfection (optional): If you want additional disinfection, use disinfectant wipes or a cloth dipped in isopropyl alcohol. Note, however, that excessive use of alcohol can damage the material.

  1. Check compatibility: Make sure that the keyboard case is suitable for your specific tablet model. Most cases are designed for specific tablet models to ensure an optimal fit and functionality.
  2. Remove existing cover or sleeve: If you are already using a protective cover or sleeve for your tablet, remove it to make room for the keyboard case.
  3. Place the tablet in the case: Open the keyboard case and carefully position your tablet in the holder or attachment provided. Make sure that all ports, buttons and cameras are freely accessible and that the tablet is securely in place.
  4. Connect the Bluetooth keyboard (if required): If the keyboard case contains a wireless Bluetooth keyboard, turn on the keyboard and make sure it is in pairing mode. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your tablet, search for available devices and select the keyboard case. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Securely fasten the tablet: Check that the tablet is securely fastened in the case and that there are no wobbly or loose parts. Make sure that the holders or clamps hold the tablet securely without damaging it.
  6. Check the alignment: Make sure that the tablet is aligned correctly so that the Bluetooth keyboard keys are positioned correctly above the tablet keys. This ensures smooth operation.
  7. Test the functions: Press a few keys on the Bluetooth keyboard to make sure the connection is stable and keystrokes are recognized properly. Also try out functions such as brightness control, volume control and other special keys, if available.
  8. Attaching additional protective features: If the keyboard case offers additional protective features such as a flip cover or stand functions, check their functionality and attach them according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  9. Read the operating instructions: Read the operating instructions for the keyboard case carefully to understand all the functions and possible settings. This will ensure that you utilize the full potential of the case.

  1. Sleep mode (Sleep):
    • If the tablet is inactive for a certain period of time, it goes into sleep mode.
    • During sleep mode, non-essential processes are shut down to minimize energy consumption.
    • The screen is switched off and the device consumes less energy.
  2. Wake-up mode (Wake):
    • Wake-up mode is activated when you want to use the tablet again.
    • Touching the screen, pressing a button or opening the tablet cover wakes the device from sleep mode.
    • The tablet quickly returns to normal operating mode and the screen is activated.
  3. Energy efficiency:
    • The "Sleep/Wake" function makes a significant contribution to energy efficiency, as the appliance does not consume energy unnecessarily when it is not in active use.
    • This is particularly important for the battery life of mobile devices such as tablets.
  4. Customizable settings:
    • In your tablet's settings, you can often set the period of time after which the device switches to sleep mode.
    • Some tablets also allow the adjustment of additional energy settings in connection with the "Sleep/Wake" function.

The DEQSTER keyboard covers support this practical function and thus ensure more efficiency and battery life when using your iPad!

Display protection

  • Composition: Tempered glass for display protection often consists of silicate glass, which is strengthened by heat treatment and chemical processes. This is usually aluminosilicate glass.
  • Manufacturing process: The manufacturing process involves applying heat to the glass, followed by rapid cooling to achieve a higher density and strength. This process is known as tempering.
  • Resistance to scratches: Tempered glass offers excellent scratch resistance, protects the display from everyday wear and tear and prevents scratches from keys, coins and other objects that are often kept near the smartphone or tablet.

Protective glasses are designed so that they neither affect the touchscreen sensitivity nor impair the display quality. They are highly transparent and offer clear and responsive touchscreen operation. Screen protectors are usually made thin to ensure that they are close to the screen and do not interfere with the contact between the user's finger and the actual touchscreen

Installation is usually straightforward. Screen protectors are custom-made to fit the device precisely. Most screen protector kits include detailed step-by-step instructions that you can follow. The difficulty of installation can vary depending on the manufacturer and model, but it is generally a process that most users can complete successfully.

To remove a broken screen protector, you can carefully use a flat, sharp object. However, be careful not to damage the actual display. If the glass is badly damaged or difficult to remove, we recommend professional removal to avoid further damage. Use gloves to protect yourself from sharp edges.

The hardness of glass is often measured on the Mohs scale, which was developed by Friedrich Mohs in 1812. The scale ranges from 1 (very soft) to 10 (very hard). The higher the value on the Mohs scale, the harder the material.

H9 to H9.5: Gorilla Glass, which is used in many smartphones, generally has a hardness grade of H9 to H9.5 on the Mohs scale.

H7 to H8: Everyday glass, such as window glass or glass bottles, has a hardness grade of H7 to H8.

H6.5: Quartz glass used in laboratory equipment and optical applications has a hardness of H6.5

If you have applied the screen protector incorrectly or are unhappy with the result, there are a few steps you can take:

  • Remove and reapply: In some cases, you can carefully lift off the screen protector and reapply it if you act quickly and make sure it is still clean. Use a special card tool or your fingernails to carefully peel the glass off the screen.
  • Remove bubbles: If there are air bubbles under the screen protector glass, you can try to gently push them out with a soft cloth or a card tool. Work from the center of the screen outwards to expel the air bubbles.
  • Remove dust: If dust or dirt has gotten under the display protection glass, you can try to carefully remove it with a dust absorber or an adhesive strip before reattaching the glass.
  • Professional helpIf you are having difficulty correcting the screen protector yourself, you can contact a professional who has experience in installing screen protectors. In some cases, specialist stores or cell phone repair services also offer assistance with installation.

Charging cable

There are different types of charging cables designed for different devices and connection types. Here are some common types of charging cables:

  • USB-C cables: USB-C cables are versatile and widely used cables that are used in many modern smartphones, tablets, laptops and other devices. They enable fast charging and data transfer.
  • Lightning cables: Lightning cables are specially developed for Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads and iPods. They are usually MFI (Made for iPhone/iPad) certified and guarantee a smooth connection and data transfer.
  • Micro-USB cables: Micro-USB cables are widely used and were used in older Android smartphones, e-readers, cameras and other devices. Although they have been replaced by USB-C in many new devices, they are still in use.
  • USB-A cables: USB-A cables are the traditional USB cables used in older devices and USB ports on computers and chargers. They can be used for both data transfer and charging.
  • Wireless charging pads: This type of charger is not a cable in the traditional sense. They use wireless technology to charge devices. They are widely used for Qi-enabled smartphones and other devices.
  • Magnetic charging cables: These cables use magnets to connect the cable to the device. They are often found in some smartwatches and older MacBook models.
  • Adapter cable: Adapter cables are special cables that connect different connector types, e.g. USB-C to Micro-USB or Lightning to USB-C.
  • Cables with different connections: Some cables are equipped with different connectors so that they are compatible with several types of devices. For example, cables with USB-C and Lightning connections

  • Check the device connection: The first thing you should do is check the connection on your device. Most modern devices have either a USB-C port, a Lightning port (for Apple devices) or a micro-USB port. Make sure you identify the correct connection type.
  • Consult the user manual: The user manual of your device may contain information about which cable is recommended for your device. Check the manual for cable compatibility information.
  • Use the manufacturer name and model: If you know the manufacturer name and exact model of your device, you can search online for recommended accessories. The manufacturer's official website is often a reliable source for recommended cables.
  • Check the cable description: Make sure you read the product description of the cable before purchasing. The product description contains information on device compatibility and the intended use of the cable.
  • Pay attention to certifications: For Apple devices in particular, you should look for MFI certification (Made for iPhone/iPad) to ensure that the cable meets quality standards.
  • Check the functions: If your device supports fast charging functions or you also want to transfer data, make sure that the selected cable meets these requirements.
  • Consider the cable length: Think about where you are charging your device and whether the cable length is sufficient. Cables are available in different lengths to suit your individual needs.
  • Read customer reviews: Check customer reviews and experiences to make sure other users were satisfied with the selected cable.

"Made for iPhone/iPad" (MFI) is a certification program developed by Apple. It is designed to ensure that accessory products, including charging cables, are compatible with Apple devices and meet Apple's quality standards. MFI certification gives you the assurance that the accessories you purchase will work properly with your Apple devices and will not have a negative impact on the devices or the user experience. Products that are not MFI certified may not offer the same quality and compatibility. Therefore, it is advisable to prefer MFI-certified products when purchasing accessories for Apple devices.

You can recognize a "Made for iPhone/iPad" (MFI)-certified cable by several features:

  • MFI logo: An obvious feature is the MFI logo. The official Apple MFI logo or the "Made for iPhone/iPad" logo is displayed on MFI-certified cables. This logo indicates that the cable has been certified by Apple.
  • Product packaging: The packaging of the cable should contain the MFI logo and certification information. Look for stickers or imprints on the packaging that display this information.
  • Manufacturer information: Manufacturer and certification information should be provided on the packaging or on the cable itself. This may include the name of the manufacturer and the MFI certification number.
  • Check the website: Apple provides a way to verify MFI certification on its website. If you have any doubts about the authenticity of an MFI-certified cable, you can use the serial number or other information on the packaging or cable to check the authenticity on the Apple website.
  • Quality and workmanship: MFI-certified cables are often of high quality and feature careful workmanship. They should be robust and reliable.

Charging cables that are compatible with fast charging vary depending on the specific fast charging standards and the devices you use. Here are some common fast charging standards and the associated cable types:

  • USB Power Delivery (USB-PD): USB-PD is a widely used fast charging standard that is supported by many modern devices, including laptops, tablets and smartphones. Compatible cables are often USB-C cables.
  • Qualcomm Quick Charge: Qualcomm Quick Charge is a fast charging standard that is used in many Android smartphones. Special micro USB or USB-C cables are required for most Quick Charge devices.
  • Apple Fast Charging: Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads support fast charging with the right accessories. MFI-certified Lightning cables are required for fast charging Apple devices.
  • Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging: Samsung devices often use the "Adaptive Fast Charging" standard. For this, you need special USB-C cables that are compatible with Samsung devices.
  • VOOC Flash Charge (Oppo and OnePlus): Some Oppo and OnePlus devices use the VOOC Flash Charge standard. The compatible cables are often USB-C cables.

It is important to note that not every cable with the correct connection type is suitable for fast charging functions. For the best results, you should use cables that are recommended by the manufacturers and that comply with the respective fast charging standards.
